MISSION: The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd instructs pre-school children using many hands-on presentations and techniques.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM

MISSION: We use the Celebrating the Lectionary (CTL) program which offers evangelization and catechesis for 3 and 4 year old children during the 9:15a.m. Mass in the Church Lower Level. It allows us to create a “Little Peoples Church” (Resource Publication). The program helps the children develop a better understanding of God’s plan and their part in it. It also helps them gain a sense of belonging to the faith community. Along with their weekly classroom, the children will be introduced to the Atrium program based on the Catechesis
of the Good Shepherd.

MISSION: The parish school of religion assists and supports the parents of students who attend public school as they nurture the gift of faith in their children. It is our goal that as the children hear the gospel message, they will respond to the presence of God and continually seek to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Within the Christian atmosphere of the parish community and classroom, the students will be led to an increasing knowledge and understanding of the gospel and the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.

MISSION: If you are a non-baptized adult, baptized in another Christian Church who never became a Catholic, a baptized Catholic who never received Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation or are interested in knowing more about the Catholic Church with or without the intention of becoming a member, RCIA is for you! RCIA is a community experience in Catholic Christian growth which includes formation and informational activities. Also, classes are offered for children who need to receive the sacraments.
