MISSION: We believe in and are firmly committed to the teachings and rich tradition of the Catholic Church with regard to the deceased and the sacredness of the cemetery in which their bodies rest. We recognize the deep religious significance of the Corporal Work of Mercy involved in the burial of the dead and reverence for the deceased. We are dedicated to the respectful care of the people of God who, even in death, remain a part of the whole Christian community.
HEARTBEAT OF LIMA

MISSION: A non-political, non-denominational pregnancy resource center providing hope, education, and resources for women and teens challenged by pregnancy. HeartBeat is a 100% pro-life agency with the goal of offering an option to abortion and create an atmosphere to save babies’ lives. Hearbeat offers free pregnancy testing, emergency help with formula and diapers, and an extensive parenting program called Bridges –a support group promoting parenting and life skills through education and emotional support.

MISSION: The K of C provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic parishes of Lima, their communities, families and young people.
NEWMAN CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION

MISSION: A Catholic student organization on the campus of Rhodes State/Ohio State, Lima and University of Northwestern Ohio focusing on spiritual and social growth opportunities. All students, faculty and staff are welcome.
ACTIVITIES: Meetings twice a month. Volunteers needed to help plan service projects, trips, retreats, etc.
RIGHT TO LIFE

MISSION: To actively promote the Pro-Life Movement in Allen County. Originally formed as a political arm of Heartbeat of Lima and founded to help unwed pregnant mothers, it has evolved into a political action group and chapter of the National Right to Life. Its activities include educating the public on abortion and helping to elect pro-life candidates to public office with objectives, which include overturning Roe vs. Wade.

MISSION: The function of the Rosary/Altar Society is to provide altar supplies such as hosts, wine and candles.
SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER

SERRA CLUB

MISSION: Serra Club is an organization of Catholic men and women who actively encourage young people to consider the priesthood, the deaconate or the vowed religious life. The Serra Club draws its membership from the entire Lima Area; Allen, Putnam and Van Wert counties. The club provides vocation information to the 21 parishes in the area. It gives support to seminarians, priests and Catholic youth groups.
ACTIVITIES: Second and fourth Thursdays at LCC. 5:45 Mass followed by dinner and a guest speaker.
